WASHINGTON, Dec. 4, 2008 -- The 26th Army Science Conference is being held in Orlando, Florida, Dec. 1-4. For the first time, individuals from across the globe will be able to listen live to the press conferences and presentations, and ask questions in real time to the world’s experts in defense science and technology.

The 26th Army Science Conference (ASC) is sponsored by the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Acquisition, Logistics and Technology). The ASC aims to promote and strategically communicate that the Army is a high-tech force, enable the public to understand what the Army S&T community does to support the Soldier, and enable conference attendees to better appreciate the potential emerging technologies have to provide disruptive capabilities to our Soldiers in the future.

Speakers at this year’s Army Science Conference include:
  • Vice Chief of Staff of the Army Gen. Peter Chiarelli
  • Honorable Nelson Fort, Under Secretary of the Army
  • Gen. William Wallace
  • Dr. Thomas Killion, U.S. Army Chief Scientist
