Combat Camera Video: Clearing Around Musa Qal’eh in Helmand Province

WASHINGTON, June 2, 2009 -- Embedded above is a b-roll video of of Afghan soldiers and International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) troops involved in operations to secure the Musa Qal'eh area in Helmand Province. The operations began on Friday morning several kilometers south of Musa Qal'eh. The Taliban have been launching attacks on local security forces from this area. The operation has involved infantry work that includes clearing compounds. During the fighting IED making facilities were found and destroyed. After the operation, local people began to immediately move back into their homes. Scenes include British soldiers during the operation and shows soldiers patrolling a town, clearing compounds and discovering an IED or Improvised Explosive Device. (NATO video. Length: 1:36.)
