OIF Update, June 5, 2009: US Soldier Dies of Combat-Related Injuries in Diyala Province

CAMP VICTORY, BAGHDAD, June 5, 2009 -- A Multi-National Corps – Iraq Soldier died late last night of injuries received during a grenade attack on a patrol in the Diyala province of northern Iraq, June 4.

The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
