OEF Update, Sept. 14, 2009: 2 US Servicemembers Killed in Southern Afghanistan

Dispatches from the Front:

KABUL, Afghanistan , Sept. 14, 2009 --Two International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) servicemembers were killed today in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) incident today in southern Afghanistan.

U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer Brian Naranjo confirmed that the deceased were U.S. servicemembers.

“We mourn the loss of these two top notch service members,” said Brigadier General Eric Tremblay, ISAF Spokesperson. “On behalf of all their comrades, I offer my most heartfelt sympathies to the families and loved ones who grieve these difficult losses.”
