More TV Comes to iTunes

NBC teams up with iTunes
NBC Universal is the latest network to tap into Apple Computer's iTunes, offering up nearly a dozen of its TV shows for download onto iPods and PCs, the two companies said Tuesday.

(CNET) The iTunes store will offer 11 shows from NBC, USA Network and the Sci Fi Channel that range from oldies such as the 1950s cop show "Dragnet" to current shows such as "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno." Read full story.

Commentary: iTunes gets more TV
Apple Computer announced on Tuesday that it has reached 3 million video downloads on iTunes and will be adding a bunch of NBC Universal shows, including "Law & Order," "Surface," "The Office" and "Battlestar Galactica." Not mention Conan O'Brien and Jay Leno.

(CNET) As we said before the CBS-Comcast video-on-demand deal in November, the rest of TV is going to come flooding into iTunes and also into alternative distribution including cable video on-demand. Read full story.
