You would think the folks who helped coin the term 'Rathergate' would have learned by now. Bad reporting is what happens when your news is the result of trolling around in an ethics-free environment.
It's too bad CBS didn't realize that if it couldn’t fabricate a news story without getting caught by folks on the Internet, it probably wouldn’t be able to misreport the news without getting caught, either.
CBS News has become a habitual offender.
What scares me most about CBS taking liberties with the facts is a Harris poll recently released that says most get news from broadcasters.
If 71 percent watch the networks for news, and CBS simply makes up the story as it goes along, what could possibly go wrong?
All I have to offer is that CBS News is doing a damn poor job of living up the legacy left to it by Edward R. Murrow.
Note to those in the liberal echo chamber: beware of going to war (er, I mean press) with questionable data in your report. You too may be called a liar.

CBS Slants Bush Poll in Favor of Democrats
February 28, 2006; (NewsBusters) -- In its classic "fair and balanced" tradition, CBS slanted in favor of Democrats its poll that found Bush has a 34 percent approval rating and a 59 percent disapproval rating, an all-time high for a CBS poll.
Most get news from broadcasters
ROCHESTER, N.Y., Feb. 25 (UPI) -- Seventy-seven percent of U.S. adults watch local broadcast news, while 71 percent watch network news, compared to 18 percent who read a national newspaper.
Poll: Bush Ratings At All-Time Low
(CBS) -- The latest CBS News poll finds President Bush's approval rating has fallen to an all-time low of 34 percent, while pessimism about the Iraq war has risen to a new high.
How Low Can He Go?
(washingtonpost.com) -- President Bush's job approval rating is at a staggeringly low 34 percent, down 8 points from last month, according to a new CBS News poll. That's right: Just a third of Americans think he's doing a good job.
