- AP reports France and Turkey send their top diplomats to Beirut on Wednesday to discuss the deployment of a 15,000-strong international force to south Lebanon, amid doubt over whether Hezbollah would lay down its arms or even withdraw them from the border with Israel.
- Aljazeera reports that "US civil rights activist" Jessie Jackson says he will aid a prisoner exchange between Israeli and Hezbollah prisoners.
