ARABIAN SEA (March 25, 2007) – American, French and British ships operating with the John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group and Combined Task Force 473 steam together during a photo exercise. The strike group and task force have been operating in the Arabian Sea in support of Maritime Security Operations (MSO). MSO help set the conditions for security and stability, as well as aid counter-terrorism and security efforts to the regional nations. PERSIAN GULF (March 29, 2007) - A plane handler signals a pilot from the "Pukin' Dogs" of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 143 aboard Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69). Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group and Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 7 are conducting a dual-carrier exercise with John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group and Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 9. This marked the first time the Stennis and Eisenhower strike groups have operated together in a joint exercise while deployed to 5th Fleet. Stennis (CVN 74). John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group and Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 9 are conducting a dual-carrier exercise with Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group and Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 7.
