NEW YORK (May 26, 2007) - U.S. Navy Chaplain Lt. Wayne Haddad assigned to Naval Amphibious Assault Ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) steadies the shoulder of Javon Rodriguez of Queens, NY, as Jason Trusnik, NY Jets outside linebacker autographs his shirt. Sailors are in New York City for Fleet Week New York City 2007, along with members from the National Football League (NFL) New York Jets, participated in a community relations (COMREL) event called "Project Hope", May 26, at Times Square Church in Manhattan. "Project Hope" is a church sponsored organization that provides resources, counseling and food to inner-city youth and their families. The 20th annual Fleet Week New York is the opportunity for New Yorkers to meet Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen and thank them for their service.
