Hoffman, three brothers from Jasper, Ind., are part of the first crew of the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77), which will be commissioned Saturday at Naval Station Norfolk. As part of the commissioning crew of they receive the title of plank owner as recognition of their contribution to the delivery of the ship to the fleet.
