As a parent of a Marine, thank you so much for sharing these pictures. We try not to worry, but sometimes just having a better idea of where and what they are experiencing is a relief. Knowledge is good.

Thank you for such up-to-date information!! I have a nephew in Afghanistan, who may have been shipped to Helmand several weeks ago. We don't hear from him very often...says he gets 1 day off per month, and often puts in 18 hour days. We have so many unanswered questions...I agree with the other comments here. We try not to worry, and coming here to get a "clue" from these photos as to what he may be doing helps us to cope better.

i am a marine brother and i would like to thank you for posting this info. my brother is supposed to be deployed over there with lima company, 3rd battalion, 1st marine regiment sometime next year. god bless all the marines and all armed forces

as a proud mother of a U. S. marine in afghanistan; i just want to say thanks for all you do!you all go out in harms way to serve our country and to help others live a better life in theirs are the greatest people with the biggest hearts!! God Bless You All!!!love you all!!!
