Wire: Suicide Bomber Kills 15, Wounds 40 at Anbar Base

WASHINGTON, April 16, 2009 -- Newswires reported this morning that suicide bomber killed at least 15 people and wounded 40 others on Thursday at a military base in Iraq's western Anbar province, the army said.

Reuters news service reported that the toll from the blast, the latest in a string of deadly bombings in Iraq in recent weeks, is preliminary and is likely to rise.
