PACIFIC OCEAN (June 19, 2007) - Members of 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) launch a combat rubber raiding craft from the amphibious landing dock USS Juneau (LPD 10). Juneau is participating in Exercise Talisman Saber 07 (TS07), a U.S. and Australian lead Joint Task Force operation that prepares our militaries for crisis action planning and execution of contingency operations. CORAL SEA (June 19, 2007) - An EA-6B Prowler assigned to Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 136 launches from the flight deck aboard USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63). The EA-6B prowler provides protection for strike aircraft by jamming enemy radar and communications. ROCKHAMPTON, Australia (June 17, 2007) - Soldiers from the 3rd Battalion Royal Australian Regiment, Reconnaissance Platoon, make a practice jump in preparation for the upcoming exercise Talisman Saber 07 (TS07). This biennial exercise, designed to enhance the combat readiness and interoperability between U.S. and Australian military forces, is conducted in Australia and focuses on crisis action planning and execution of contingency response operations.
