PACIFIC OCEAN (June 19, 2007) - Members of 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) launch a combat rubber raiding craft from the amphibious landing dock USS Juneau (LPD 10). Juneau is participating in Exercise Talisman Saber 07 (TS07), a U.S. and Australian lead Joint Task Force operation that prepares our militaries for crisis action planning and execution of contingency operations. TS07 is designed to maintain a high level of interoperability between U.S. and Australian forces demonstrating the U.S. and Australian commitment to our military alliance and regional security. CORAL SEA (June 19, 2007) - An EA-6B Prowler assigned to Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 136 launches from the flight deck aboard USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63). The EA-6B prowler provides protection for strike aircraft by jamming enemy radar and communications. Kitty Hawk Carrier Strike Group is participating in exercise Talisman Saber 2007 in the Coral Sea near the coast of Australia.
